Design subscription pricing runs from $699 to $4,995 a month on the public plans we checked. Superside starts at a $15,000 monthly minimum on an annual term.

The price alone tells you little. Plans differ by how many projects run at once, how fast you get work back, and whether you share a designer. Here is what each one buys.

Sources, all read on 27 Oct 2026: ManyPixels pricing, Penji pricing, Designjoy, Superside pricing. Each vendor sells what it prices. Prices are the monthly rate, before any quarterly or yearly discount.

Read the plan, not the price

Two plans at the same price can be very different. Compare these five things.

  • Active projects. Penji limits this to 2, 3 or 4 by plan. Designjoy works one request at a time.

  • Turnaround. The pages quote next-day, same-day or 48 hours. Complex work takes longer on any plan.

  • Shared or assigned designer. ManyPixels Access plans use a shared team. Its Assigned Designer plans give you one part-time designer.

  • Term. Superside requires an annual commitment. Penji bills monthly by default and lists 15% off quarterly and 20% off yearly.

  • Pausing. ManyPixels charges $10 a month to pause. Designjoy bills in 31-day cycles that you can pause.

What it adds up to over a year

Multiply the monthly price by 12 to compare with a salary. This is our arithmetic, not a vendor figure.

  • noondesk part-time: $1,774 × 12 = $21,288.

  • noondesk full-time: $3,774 × 12 = $45,288.

  • Penji Agency Partner: $1,995 × 12 = $23,940.

  • Designjoy Club: $4,995 × 12 = $59,940.

  • Superside at its stated minimum: $15,000 × 12 = $180,000.

Do quarterly and yearly plans save money?

Sometimes. Penji lists 15% off quarterly and 20% off yearly billing. On its $1,995 Agency Partner plan, 20% off works out to $1,596 a month, or $19,152 a year ($1,995 × 0.80 × 12). That is our arithmetic, and the page does not show the totals. You save money only if you will really use the plan for the whole term. A monthly plan you can pause or cancel may cost less in practice if your workload changes.

Three example teams

These are examples to show the thinking, not customer data.

  • A startup posting on social most days and running a couple of ads a week. That is a steady stream of small requests, which suits a part-time designer.

  • A growth team running several campaigns at once, with ads, landing pages and email every week. That points to a full-time designer.

  • A company planning one rebrand this year and little else. A subscription is a poor fit. Use an agency or a freelancer for the project.

Costs outside the monthly price

  • Software fees. Superside lists a $1,000 monthly software fee on top of its subscriptions.

  • Overages. Superside says overages are charged at its standard rate once the monthly budget is used, with no figure given.

  • Pause fees. See above.

  • Your time. Writing a clear brief saves rounds. Use our creative brief template.

Questions to ask on any sales call

  • How many requests run at the same time, and who sets the order?

  • Is the designer the same every week?

  • What is the real turnaround for my kind of work, not the best case?

  • Are there software, onboarding or overage fees?

  • What does it cost to pause or leave, and what is the notice period?

  • Do I get source files and full ownership in writing?

How to pick a plan

Count what you send in a normal month: social posts, ads, emails, decks, pages. Then match it to hours. Our design hours calculator does the sums. If the answer is a few hours a week, start part-time. If it is most of a working week, go full-time.

You can change plans, pause, or cancel any month. Prices are flat, with no per-request fees.

What we could not verify

Vendors change prices and terms without notice. The figures above are what each page showed on 27 Oct 2026. Penji's page lists both a 30-day money-back guarantee and a refund of your first month, and it does not reconcile them, so check refund terms with the vendor.
